Individual Therapy
Individual DBT therapy focuses on helping you apply skills to your real life. Sessions are tailored to your goals, whether that’s managing intense emotions, improving relationships, or building more stability day to day. You’ll work one-on-one with a therapist to understand patterns, problem-solve challenges, and create meaningful, lasting change.
-

DBT Skills Class
DBT skills class is a structured group where you’ll learn practical tools for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. Think of it as a class, not traditional group therapy. You’ll gain concrete strategies you can use immediately, with guidance and practice along the way.

Phone Coaching
Phone coaching offers in-the-moment support when you need help using your skills in real life. Rather than waiting until your next session, you can reach out for brief coaching to navigate challenging situations as they happen. The focus is on helping you apply what you’ve learned, right when it matters most.

Summer Boot Camp
Each summer we offer an opportunity for clients to receive DBT Training in a condensed summer format. Our “Boot Camp'' style classes consist of a one day mindfulness seminar (9a-12p), followed by week-long modules of DBT skills (M-Th, 9:30am- 12pm). This allows participants to complete an entire module of skills over the course of a week!
What is
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
DBT is a compassionate type of behavioral therapy intended to help people move toward a life that is more meaningful and worth living. It is an evidence-based treatment effective for mood disorders, personality disorders, addictive disorders, impulse control disorders, and some anxiety disorders. DBT combines standard cognitive-behavioral techniques for emotion regulation with the concepts of distress tolerance, acceptance, and mindfulness. The skills taught by DBT strengthen a person’s ability to handle their emotions without losing control or engaging in destructive behavior.
Combining several therapeutic approaches, DBT was originally designed for treatment of patients with borderline personality disorder, who often engage in self harm or have chronic suicidal thoughts. Research has since found DBT to be extremely effective in less severe areas, such as anxiety, mild depression, trauma, and relationship conflict – in essence: wherever there is a need to regulate emotions. Once learned, these skills can be applied in our everyday lives, including stress related to work, family relationships, and medical conditions.
Peachtree DBT Collective offers a comprehensive DBT program for children, adolescents and adults that includes four elements: individual therapy (weekly), group skills training (weekly), phone coaching to reinforce use of skills (as needed), and consultation team (for therapists only). Diary cards are kept to maintain progress and obtain an overview of the patient’s week.
The weekly skills training groups cover four sets of skill areas: Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. Patients participate in one full round of all the DBT skills (3 modules with weaving in of mindfulness skills in each module).
